Sleeping difficulties affect us all from time to time, and it can often be a struggle to get out of bed in the morning. Yet for many other people, sleeping problems can become more persistent and result in a number of negative consequences, such as:

  • poor concentration/performance at school or work
  • feeling more anxious, angry, or depressed
  • increased daytime sleepiness, which can be be dangerous when driving or working
  • negative impact on personal and social relationships
  • feeling tired, exhausted, and grumpy every day

 

As parents, it can be extremely difficult when our children are not sleeping well, and it's common to:

  • feel exhausted, tired, or emotional
  • be short tempered and/or resentful to your child or partner
  • have difficulty enjoying the time you have with your child when they are awake
  • feel overwhelmed and stressed with keeping up with work or household tasks

 

SOMNIA is an Adelaide psychology clinic focused on helping individuals and families get a better nights' sleep and be able to function properly the next day. We are the only clinic in Adelaide that helps ALL ages, babies through to adults. 

 

Our therapists are Clinical Psychologists who are trained and have years of experience in the best evidence-based treatments for sleeping difficulties. We are can also offer support with other issues that often come hand in hand with sleeping problems, such as anxiety, depression, behaviour problems, and many others.
